Who works for Engenia
Our handpicked, highly skilled team consists of Australian workers. Most of them are tertiary educated, while some are experts in their disciplines with higher qualifications such as PhDs and other post-graduate degrees. These highly skilled and experienced individuals are carefully chosen for each project based on their expertise. If your project needs some skills of a foreign expert (e.g. transcribe/ translate interviews in foreign languages) we will let you know that your data will be sent outside Australia.

How reliable and secure you are?
The confidentially and safety of your data\ information is paramount to us. Therefore, we do not copy, reproduce (in full or in part) or use your data for purposes other than the purpose you have agreed with us (e.g. data analysis, transcription). We do not disclose your data/ information to any third party individuals or organisations other than the person/s assigned to undertake the project/s (e.g. analysts and transcribers). All our analysts and transcribers are bounded by an agreement to use your data with the restrictions outlined before while the data is in their possession. As clients, you may request a confidentiality agreement from us, or alternatively, you can request us to sign an agreement provided by you.

What is your turnaround time?
The turnaround time depends on the size, quality, and urgency of your data and the project. You will be given a clear notice on the turnaround time of your project before commencement. In instances where continuous negotiations/ feedback between clients and Engenia is necessary to generate the best project outcomes (e.g. data analysis), you will be informed the possible changes to the deadlines, if the deadline will be affected by any such undertakings.

What file formats are accepted?
With the use of the latest technology, appropriate hardware, and software solutions, we are capable to handle a wide range of digital file formats. Therefore, you can send us your work without being worried about the file formats. You can:
1. Send us files on storage media such as DVD, CD, USB storage devices
2. Email us your work
3. Share with us using cloud solutions such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
4. Upload to our server with the private 256 bit SSL encrypted client account provided by us.

Do you accept poor quality audio files for transcription?
Yes, we do accept audio files with varying quality. However, it is important to understand that the audio quality has a great impact on the quality of transcripts. Poor quality audio files usually need more time to transcribe. Therefore, it will affect the price of the job. For advice on optimising the quality of your audio files, please see our Audio tips.

How do you deliver the final outcome?
We can deliver the final outcome in your most preferred way. This may be, e-mails, uploaded to a server, shared in a cloud space or delivered in a storage device.

How can I track the progress of my project?
We will provide you with some notifications of progress during the project period. Further, you can always get in touch with us via emails, telephone or internet message services such as Skype, Viber or WhatsApp.
